Jeff Evans had always been drawn to the media industry. From a young age, he was fascinated by the power of storytelling and the art of visual communication. It was no surprise that he pursued his passion in college, earning a degree from the University of Michigan and honing his skills at the Hollywood Film Institute.

But Jeff’s journey began long before that. At the age of thirteen, he floor directed a live television program, which sparked his love for the industry. In high school, he co-founded an alternative campus newspaper, using his interest in writing and photography to bring new perspectives to his peers.

As a college student, Jeff’s passion for politics and activism led him to develop a newsletter for the College Republicans and contribute to various publications, including The Michigan Review and Consider. He was a natural leader, serving as a Regional Field Director for Jack Kemp’s presidential campaign in Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, and South Carolina.

In 1988, Jeff moved to California to work as a Policy Consultant for the California State Assembly Republican Caucus. It was there that he became involved in David Knowles’ campaign for State Assembly, managing his successful bids in both 1988 and 1990. In fact, Knowles was the first Republican to defeat an incumbent Democrat in ten years, thanks in part to Jeff’s strategic expertise.

After serving as Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Knowles, Jeff decided to strike out on his own, founding his own communications firm in 1993. He quickly made a name for himself in the political arena, developing direct mail campaigns for various campaigns and organizations.

But Jeff’s talents didn’t stop there. In 1993, he took over the dormant Red Barn Video Company and began producing promotional videos, commercial spots, and documentaries for a wide range of clients. He even worked for Christ for all Nations, an international non-profit, for five years, shooting on location in countries like Ethiopia, India, and Indonesia.

Throughout his thirty-plus-year career, Jeff’s creative talents have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. He has won twenty-three Pollies, an ADDY, four Telly awards, four Communicator awards, two AVA awards, a Summit Creative award, the American Corporate Identity Award, and four Hermes Creative awards.

But Jeff isn’t one to rest on his laurels. He’s a leader in web development and digital advertising solutions, and in recent years, he has successfully provided his political clients with innovative digital media campaigns to highly targeted audiences, propelling them to victory.

When he’s not working, Jeff and his wife Cathy love to travel. They spent four years as “full-time RVers,” exploring the country in their motorhome, and they continue to spend six to seven months a year on the road. Their adventures are chronicled in their blog, Adventures Along the Way.
